Deriving inspiration directly from the region's most well known spirit, Kentucky bourbon, the enclosing folder evokes the look of the charred-oak barrels that impart bourbon's signature smokey flavor profile. The exterior features a copper foil-stamped band, a direct reference to the copper used in the distilling process, and the folder is sealed with a wax stamp featuring a fleur de lis, Louisville's official seal.
Within the folder, custom die-cut pockets contain more fun and unexpected references to the property and to the city. A betting card provides instructions for how to place a bet at Churchill Downs, and a copper card with an unusual die cut reveals a secret message when placed over a prohibition-era newspaper clipping.
