The solution presented itself by delving into the very core of “Art of Water.” By utilizing watercolor to illustrate a lush collage of maple leaves, the visual identity is one that marries the recognizable contours of the leaves with a refreshing color palette that’s perfect for poolside. The maple identity is further supported by the subtle addition of maple wood grain as a base texture.
In 2016, the theme extended beyond the poolside menu. Hotel and resort spas offered maple-infused treatments and products, and in-room welcome amenities greeted guests upon arrival.
The Magic of Maple campaign was promoted exclusively on-property at Omni Hotels & Resorts, and included retail POP, spa POP, lobby posters and digital reader boards, amenity cards and bottle hang tags.
Like all design challenges, the Magic of Maple opened the door to transcending seasons and color limitations. By utilizing textural elements and lush watercolor, we were able to break the barrier of maple’s traditionally fall identity and bring it to life in a new season.
